Getting Started and Folder Structure
- Each folder has a specific purpose to make crysis work, a folder could be used a storage for files to be loaded.
- Bin32 and Bin64 are the main core folders which consist of the game files and exe files eg editor.exe
- The game folder consist of .pak files which contain files from the crysis game for example sound files, textures, levels, objects etc.
- The engine folder contains files for the crysis engine itself from animation, dynamics, shaders.
- The .pak files in the game folder are compressed into a .rar file to decrease the size of game folder

- reloading is a more efficient way to load in stuff that may not work or you have edited a entity/texture rather than closing and reopening the editor.
- the follow terrain tool is allows entities to snap to the terrain and objects rather than manually moving it using the move tool than can make the entity go through the terrain.
- The rollupbar tool bar contains tabs and options where most objects and entities are accessed. if closed it can accessed under the views.
- Ruler tool will show the distance of two objects selected.
- select objects tool will show all the objects used in your map.
